We Are An Open & Affirming Church
We Are A Just Peace Church
We are called to spread the good news of God’s Shalom throughout the world and to usher in the realm of God which is built on the foundation of justice and peace.
Therefore, we, the people of Foster Memorial Church, declare our commitment to be a justice-doing and peace-seeking community: by continuing our outreach ministries to feed the hungry, care for the sick, and clothe and house the poor; and by committing ourselves to identify and change the systemic issues that cause the need for such ministries to exist. May God grant us the wisdom, strength and courage to follow in the ways of our Savior, Jesus, in the struggle for justice and peace.

Ministries
We offer God Time (church school) for children and youth and nursery care for infants and toddlers on Sunday mornings. Our God Time curriculum, “The Whole People of God,” highlights the same scripture readings as our worship services.
Our children and youth take part in special outreach events including Trick or Treat for UNICEF and Pancake Brunch fundraisers for local and global partnerships, and participate in special worship services including Christmas Pageant, Children and Youth Sunday and Maundy Thursday.
Supporting Our Community
We believe that by forming partnerships both local and global, we can do so much more to shine God’s peace and hope into the world. Issues addressed by these partnerships include homelessness, food insecurity, education, disaster relief, refugee settlement and much more. Among our many local partnerships: Rebecca M. Johnson School, Gray House and Open Pantry, Inc. Among our many global partnerships: Church World Service (CWS), UNICEF and the Disasters Ministries of the United Church of Christ.
